Houlihan’s abruptly closes 2 N.J. restaurants

Houlihan’s recently shuttered two of its New Jersey locations.

The company closed restaurants on Sept. 28 in Bridgewater at 1288 Route 22 E. and Parsippany at 1735 Route 46.

Houlihan’s did not give a reason for the closures.

However, the company announced plans to keep its employees from the shuttered locations.

“We value our employees, their dedication to the company and are working to relocate them immediately to one of our many nearby locations,” Bill Leibengood, Houlihan’s chief operating officer, said.

Houlihan’s also unexpectedly closed two Garden State locations in 2019 after filing for bankruptcy.

The Kansas-based restaurant and bar chain originally opened in 1972.

There are currently eight Houlihan’s locations in New Jersey and 36 locations nationwide.
