Burtner House to host annual fall festival

The Burtner House Fall Harvest Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the homestead, 965 Burtner Road, Harrison.

There will be tours, crafters, Civil War reenactors and food. Parking and shuttle service will be available from 10:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from the dirt parking area at Citizens Hose Firehall, Freeport Road, Harrison. No parking is available at the festival.

Admission is $10; students and senior citizens, $5; younger than 6, free. Proceeds benefit Burtner House Restoration Society.


Harrison to sponsor pumpkin giveaway for township children

The Harrison Township Recreation Board will host a drive-thru pumpkin giveaway for township children from 10 a.m. to noon while supplies last Saturday at Broadview Blvd. across from CVS in Natrona Heights.

One pumpkin per child and the child must be present.


Fall for Animals Festival planned Saturday and Sunday

The Fall for Animals Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Crooked Creek Horse Park, 467 Crooked Creek Dam Road, Manor Township.

There will be vendors, food, wineries, music, a basket raffle, car cruise, contests and a tractor show and parade. Rain or shine.

A $5 parking fee benefits local animal rescues.
