NBC 6’s Julia Bagg has the latest on what police are saying after the shooting Wednesday night.

Police are investigating after two men were found shot to death inside an apartment in northwest Miami-Dade late Wednesday night.

Officers arrived at the apartment near the intersection of Northwest 92nd Street and 25th Avenue just before 9 p.m. after a friend of one victim went to the apartment and found the front door unlocked, Miami-Dade Police officials said.

The officers found two men dead from apparent gunshot wounds. The identity of both victims was not released.

Detectives were at the scene throughout the morning Thursday. Eventually the bodies of the two men were removed.

Investigators have not released additional details on a motive or possible suspects.

Mauricio Rios, who lives next door, said he heard six or seven gunshots earlier in the week but thought they were fireworks. He said police knocked on his door Wednesday night and asked if he'd heard his neighbors fighting.

“They told me they killed each other," Rios said.

Rios said the two men who live next door were roommates and worked together.

“You never know what’s gonna happen right next door, you never know," Rios said.
