The 2022 Marion County Fairboard election is set for Monday, December 5th at 7:00 p.m. The election is to elect members to the 24-member fairboard. 

Those eligible to vote must be a Marion County landowner, business person or farmer and be a resident of Marion County.

Individuals need to register to vote by the end of the business day October 31st. Hours at the Knoxville ticket office are from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. to get registered.

Knoxville Raceway General Manager Jason Reed says why it’s important to register to vote, “Well I think it’s important because if you have any input or desire with what you think should happen not only with the race track, but the fairgrounds and the fair.”

In order to stay eligible to vote for the fairboard, an individual must vote at least once every three years, otherwise they need to fill out the registration card again.
