Kenny Pickett is the Pittsburgh Steelers new starting quarterback after taking over for Mitch Trubisky during Sunday’s loss to New York Jets.
His first assignment — Sunday’s game at Buffalo — is about as tough as it gets, but the former Pitt Panther and first-round pick might have given a glimpse into just how he is getting hyped up for that type of test when he recently took to social media to support Pittsburgh native and recording artist “Hardo.”
Pickett posted the album artwork on his instagram page and tagged the artist with fire emojis.
Hardo has been co-signed and endorsed by well-known rappers in the past such as T.I., Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. The Wilkinsburg-raised rapper recently released his new studio album “Top 10 Trappers DOA” on all streaming platforms. The project includes songs with artists EST Gee, Icewear Vezzo, Doe Boy and more.
You can stream Hardo’s new album “Top 10 Trappers DOA” on apple music by clicking here. Beware though, the lyrics can be graphic. The music will definitely get you fired up though, and if it gets Pickett hyped enough to somehow lead the Steelers past the Bills ... well, “Hardo” might quickly become the most beloved artist in the city.
