YUKON (KOKH) - Yukon’s Scholar Athlete of the Week is Emily Schneider. Running is her claim to fame, cross country and track to be specific. She’s earned four letters in cross country and three in track where she’s a two time state qualifier in 6A girls cross country and in the 4 x 800 in track.

She took up running at the early age of seven years old and she’s loved it ever since. The team aspect is something that attracts her too running, even though many consider it an individual sport.

The one thing that is all about her are her grades. She has a 4.19 GPA. She plans to use those smarts to become a nurse.
