Josh Dix suffered a broken tibia and fibula last January and spoke about how far along he is in his recovery. HawkCentral posted the video of Dix speaking to the media.

Dix was a former 3-star recruit out of Council Bluffs, Iowa per the 247Sports Composite. Dix was also the No. 1 player from his home state of Iowa in the 2022 recruiting class.

The freshman guard was asked about what the hardest part of his recovery was. It was especially hard adjusting to the speed and physicality of the game.

“Coming back, I was a little out of shape,” said Dix. “Then just adjusting because I really didn’t get that period in the summer. So just adjusting to the speed of the game and the physicality.”

Dix cleared the air on how exactly his leg is feeling after the injury. He was quoted as saying it was nearly 100%.

“I would say it’s pretty close to 100%,” said Dix. “It’s pretty much 100%. I came out here playing, and I can drive to the basket and stuff. I can’t really jump as high as I used to jump, but I can still jump and run pretty well.”

Dix has been practicing since Sept. 1, but we’ll see if he’ll be ready for the season opener with Bethune-Cookman on Nov. 7.
