HIMSELF IN FRONT OF A GUN. TODAY, THE SUSPECT FOUND HIMSELF IN FRONT OF A JUDGE. THE OWNER NEVER SUSPECTED WHEN HE WENT TO SELL HIS HIGH END DODGE CHALLENGER THAT IT WOULD BE SUCH A CHALLENGE. >> YEAH. I’VE SOLD A MOTORCYCLE, MY TRUCK. COUPLE OTHER THINGS LIKE PLAYSTATION AND STUFF, BUT YEAH, SO I FELT COMFORTABLE. >> NICHOLAS SUITER SAYS WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS GOING TO BE A SALE SUDDENLY TURNED INTO A SCARE. >> THEY RAN UP GUNS DRAWN AND HELD ME HOSTAGE AT GUNPOINT AND REQUESTED THE KEYS FOR MY CAR. >> SUITER HAD LISTED HIS VEHICLE TO SELL ON FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE. THE CAR WAS A 2021 DODGE CHALLENGER SKAT PACK WIDE BODY WORTH ABOUT $60,000. MORE THAN A THEIF COULD USUSALLY GET IN A BANK ROBBERY. BUT AT LEAST ONE SUSPECT DIDN’T GET AWAY. POLICE HAVE ARRESTED CHRISTOPHER SANDERS-CLEMONS. HE WAS IN COURT TODAY. HE ADMITTED THAT HE PULLED THE GUN AND HELD THE VICTIM AT GUNPOINT AND DEMANDED HIS KEYS. ANOTHER MAN DROVE OFF IN THE VEHICLE. POLICE WERE ABLE TO TRACK DOWN SANDERS CLEMONS BUT THE OTHER MAN IS YET TO BE ARRESTED. THERE ARE SAFE PLACES TO DO THESE KIND OF EXCHANGES BUT BECAUSE HE’S NEVER HAD PROBLEMS SUITER SAYS HE MADE THE MISTAKE OF GIVING THE PERSON HE THOUGHT WAS THE BUYER HIS HOME ADDRESS. >> DEFINITELY DON’T GIVE ANYONE YOUR ADDRESS BECAUSE I MEAN, PUBLIC, IF YOU CAN’T BRING SOMEONE WITH YOU, DO SO BRING WITH YOU. IF YOU CAN LET SOMEONE KNOW. >> MANY COMMUNITIES HAVE EXCHANGE ZONES AT THE POLICE STATION OR OTHER SAFE PLACES. A Monroe man was held at gunpoint after he listed his high-end Dodge Challenger on Facebook Marketplace and the meeting took a surprising twist.“I’ve sold a motorcycle, my truck, a couple other things like PlayStation and stuff, but yeah, I felt comfortable,” said Nicholas Suiter.Suiter said because he never had trouble in the past, he missed some red flags and did something he won’t again. He gave the person he thought was a buyer his home address.Two men showed up and demanded the vehicle. One of them pulled a gun.“He held me at gunpoint and asked for the keys to my car,” Suiter said.The vehicle is a Dodge Challenger Skat Pack Widebody and worth about $60,000.One suspect left in the Challenger, and the other left in the vehicle they drove to the address.Police were able to quickly track down the suspected gunman. Christopher Sanders-Clemons was in court on Wednesday.The owner was able to track the vehicle. It was located in Dayton. Police recovered it and returned it to the owner.The other suspect is still on the run.
