During the New York Giants‘ win against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Giants starting quarterback Daniel Jones left the game with an ankle sprain in the third quarter. Even though he did return in the fourth quarter to close out the victory, it was only after backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor left the game after suffering a concussion.

The injury left Jones’ status unknown heading into Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers in London. But on Sunday, the team got some quite optimistic news as Jones was able to practice with the team. And according to reports from practice, it looks like he’s going to be able to play on Sunday with one reporter saying he’ll be “shocked” if he doesn’t.

“I’m watching #Giants Daniel Jones running individual QB drills now and the way he’s moving around I’ll be shocked if he’s not playing vs #Packers Sunday in London #NFL,” sports columnist Mark Cannizzaro of the New York Times said in a Tweet on Wednesday.

If something changes and Jones is unable to play, the Giants will have to use some emergency options. The team is likely to elevate veteran quarterback Davis Webb from the practice squad and New York did work out former Georgia star quarterback Jake Fromm, who actually started two games for the team last season.
