In Wednesday’s “All In” segment on the Tiki and Tierney show, Brandon Tierney made it perfectly clear how he feels Major League Baseball should handle the home run record debate.
Now that Aaron Judge has surpassed Roger Maris with his 62nd home run on Tuesday night, it’s time for commissioner Rob Manfred to change the record books to reflect those who made history without being attached to performance-enhancing controversies.
“I am all in, as deep as you can plant the roots of being all in, on baseball looking in the mirror and finding their backbone…that is required to make a tough call,” BT said.
“Every once in a while, you get presented with something that allows you to properly contextualize a part of history and a piece of our sporting soul. A lot of us wrestle and juggle with what guys took in the 90s and how they got there, and until further notice, Aaron Judge is the complete opposite. He’s the hero you can believe in. In a world of ‘look at me,’ he just puts his bat down…trots around the bases and doesn’t show anybody up, and 62 times this season, he has done something that is harder to do in anything in professional sports, and he has done it the right way.”
