UPDATE: Traffic returning to normal on I-24 after wreck near Exit 8

Update, 3:25 p.m.: Traffic is mostly back to normal on I-24, with some lingering slowness near Exit 8.

Update, 2:55 p.m.: Traffic near the wreck site is beginning to clear. It’s still backed up, though, from Exit 1 to Exit 8.

Update, 2 p.m.: Traffic has backed up just past Exit 1.

Update, 1:25 p.m.: Traffic is backed up past Exits 8 and 4, almost to Exit 1.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – There will likely be some traffic delays following a wreck involving a semi-tractor trailer on I-24 eastbound near mile marker 8.8.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:14 p.m. in the eastbound lanes, and Clarksville Police report traffic has been reduced to one lane. There are no reports of injuries, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is handling the crash.
