The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office has identified the missing hunter and determined his cause of death.
Officials report the hunter was 65-year-old Joseph Raymond Balyeat from Bozeman and his death was due to natural causes.
A missing hunter was found dead in the Truman Gulch area early Wednesday morning.
Gallatin County Dispatch received a report of an overdue hunter at 10:51 p.m. on Tuesday, with the caller saying the hunter's vehicle was found parked near the Truman Gulch trailhead and that the hunter had a known medical history.
Search and Rescue volunteers from the Valley Section of Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, the SAR Drone Team and SAR Dog Team, as well as the LifeFlight Network searched the area for the missing hunter.
Officials say the caller gave an approximate area where the hunter was located, and family members directed Search and Rescue teams to the hunter's tree stand.
A dog team found the hunter dead early Wednesday morning.
The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office Coroner was sent to the scene and will release more information after the family is notified.
