A second man has been charged with criminal attempt murder for a Hoboken shooting at Mama Johnson Field in June that injured a 17-year-old, police said.

Marcus Johnson, 22, of Patchogue, New York, was charged with criminal attempt murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (handgun), unlawful possession of a weapon prohibited weapons and devices (large capacity magazine), prohibited weapons and devices (hollow nose/dum-dum rounds), obstruction of the administration of law (obstructing a criminal investigation), and widespread injury or damage recklessly, according to Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera.
This morning at approximately 5:30 a.m., Johnson turned himself into the Hoboken Police Department and was placed under arrest.
An arrest warrant for Johnson was issued on September 15th for his involvement in a shooting incident from Monday, June 6th in the area of 4th and Jackson Streets.
Dets. John Quinones and Adam Colon developed probable cause to charge John with the aforementioned charges.
He was then processed and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The investigation is ongoing with Quinones as lead detective.
