SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A South Jersey man has been charged in connection with the death of his mother earlier this year.
Police say 36-year-old Gary Richman of Pedricktown, Salem County hit his mother over the head while the two were inside of a car in Camden on May 23.
Sandra Richman, 65, died of those injuries a few weeks later at a hospice facility.
The medical examiner determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma.
Richman was arrested two days after the alleged assault for an unrelated matter.
He faces second-degree manslaughter and other offenses related to his mother’s death.
