REMNANTS OF THAT RESULTED IN HEAVY FLOODING IN PARTS OF PENNSYLVANIA INCLUDING MANY SPOTS IN YORK COUNTY, PEOPLE APPLIED FOR AND GOT AID FEMA AS A RESULT BUT FOR SOME IT JUST WASN’T ENOUGH. WHICH IS WHY THE YORK COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY IS ESTABLISHING ITS OWN DISASTER CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM. WHAT WE HAVE IN PLACE NOW, MORE THAN A YEAR AFTERWARDS IS A SYSTEM WHERE PEOPLE CAN CALL AND THEY’LL THEY’LL GET CONNECTED WITH A CASEWORKER AND THE CASEWORKER WILL WALK THEM THROUGH THE ELIGIBILITY PROCESS US TO SEE IF THEY CAN RECEIVE HELP. When Category 4 Hurricane Ida hit the U.S. in August 2021, remnants of the storm caused heavy flooding in parts of Pennsylvania, including York County.People applied for and received aid from FEMA. But for some, it just wasn't enough.
