DETROIT (WWJ) Detroit Police say an 80-year-old man who went missing for more than a week is safely back home.

Police said Floyd Parks left his house on W. Grand Boulevard (2400 block) near 16th Street on Sunday, September 25, at around 3 p.m.

After no one saw or heard from him for several days, he was reported missing and police asked for tips to find him.

On Wednesday, the Detroit Police Department sent an update saying that Parks "has been recovered and is doing fine."
