Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival returns Nov. 7-13

October 4, 2022

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society will celebrate the 24th anniversary of its Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival, set for Monday, Nov. 7 to Sunday, Nov. 13.

This year’s festival returns to its traditional seven-day schedule featuring 14 titles that encapsulate engaging and thought-provoking documentaries, narratives and foreign films. The week-long event takes place at the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater in Lewes for the full seven days, with a limited engagement at the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11 and 12.

In the spirit of gathering patrons, members and cinema enthusiasts alike, there will be discounts at local-area restaurants and three post-film receptions at CAT. Patrons who purchase admission to the corresponding three films are invited to the reception that immediately follows.

“The annual festival has deep roots in its support of the Rehoboth Beach and Lewes communities. It’s time to put the pandemic behind us and move forward by creating opportunities for people to gather around great cinema,” said Helen Chamberlin, executive director.

Admission per film is $10 for members and $10 for general audiences. Members who purchase admission may enjoy priority seating. Concessions will be available at both venues.

If seats are available, door sales will start 30 minutes before each screening time. Cash or credit card payments are accepted at the Cinema Art Theater. Cash only will be accepted at UUSD.
