Mrs. Elaine Brock, age 79, of Vidalia, died Monday, October 3, 2022, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a brief illness.  She was a native of Gainesville, Florida and a graduate of Gainesville High School.  She attended Norman Park College and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Florida State University.  She moved to Pembroke in 1970 and has lived in Vidalia since 1977.  She worked in the operating room at Meadows Memorial Hospital in Vidalia and retired after thirty-three years.  She was a member of Smith Street Baptist Church and enjoyed yard work, gardening, crafting, her pets and attending sporting events with her grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Coach Ronald E. Brock; and her parents, Orin Edward Teuton and Willigene Cassel Teuton.

Her family includes three children, Jeanna Lynn Brock Bass of Vidalia, Garrett Thomas Brock and wife Denise of Reidsville, and Edward Alan Brock and wife Becky of Baxley; one sister, Linda Kay Hemingway and husband George of Seneca, South Carolina; one brother, Murray Teuton and wife Betti of Gainesville, Florida; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Rod, Kayla, Brittany, Sara, Preston, Aiden, and Carter; six great-grandchildren, Evan, Blakely, Brey, Anna Lynn, Daniel, Lainey, and a great-grandson to be born soon, Landry; and several nieces and nephews

The funeral service will be Friday morning, October 7th, at 11:00 in the chapel at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend David Barrett and Reverend George Hemingway officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
