Authorities took a person into custody following an hours-long standoff overnight in southwest Oklahoma City.
The standoff started around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment near the 3200 block of Southwest 17th Street. Police said the suspect made some threats to neighbors, and the confrontation got heated.
A SWAT team responded after the suspect reportedly barricaded themselves inside an apartment for hours. Authorities said they tried to talk the person out of the building, but they did not come out.

Police said during the standoff, a second person who was assaulted got out of the apartment, and a second person was inside with the suspect. The second person was unharmed.
Authorities said the suspect faces counts of kidnapping and assault and battery.
