Bella Hadid Adds Vintage Prada To Her Envy-Inducing Wardrobe Of Archive Fashion

Bella Hadid Adds Vintage Prada To Her EnvyInducing Collection

Bella Hadid has shown off a series of stand-out vintage looks this fashion month – but she arguably saved the best for last at the Miu Miu party in Paris on Tuesday night. The supermodel opted for a brown rumpled silk jacket and bra with a matching skirt from Prada’s spring/summer 2009 collection, which she explained on Instagram that she’d bought last year and chosen specifically for the occasion.

It’s not the first time Hadid has worn archival Prada. Last fashion month, the vintage obsessive was spotted in a blue leather jacket from autumn/winter 2013, which she paired with a vintage cheetah-print pony hair bag, also by the Italian brand. She’s often seen with Prada’s Tessuto shoulder bag from the Noughties and classic bowling bag, too.

Hadid’s latest vintage Prada outing is perfectly in keeping with this season’s pared-back mood, with Miuccia Prada exploring the idea of simplicity for spring/summer 2023. Indeed, at the time the designer told Vogue Runway’s Sarah Mower of her spring/summer 2009 collection, “It’s primitive… going back to what counts” – a comment that could easily be applied to her most recent designs.

This season has seen the increasing popularity of vintage reflected on the runway, from Kim Kardashian’s curation of Dolce & Gabbana’s archive to Stella McCartney revisiting her designs for Chloé from the late ’90s and early Noughties. Time to set those alerts on all of our favourite resale sites, we think.
