Nelson Pleads Guilty to Additional Federal Charges in Deaths of Two Wisconsin Brothers

(Missourinet) A Missouri man has pleaded guilty to other federal charges in the deaths of two Wisconsin brothers. Garland “Joey” Nelson has pleaded guilty to a federal mail fraud charge and being a felon with a firearm in connection to the killings of Nicholas and Justin Diemel. Last Friday, Nelson pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in their deaths – avoiding the death penalty. The brothers traveled to Missouri in 2019 to collect money from Nelson for a failed cattle business deal. Nelson has admitted to shooting the brothers, burning their bodies and tossing their remains. Authorities found their burned remains in a manure pile in Missouri and Nebraska.
