Missouri Legislature’s Special Session is in the Books

Lawmakers have extended some agriculture tax credits to six years for ethanol producers, meat packers, young farmers and other sectors of the industry. Under the 40-million-dollar proposal, Missouri gas stations selling a 15-percent blend of corn-based ethanol would get a five-cents-per-gallon credit annually, with the maximum annual credit of five-million dollars. Biodiesel producers who make soybean oil-based fuel would get a two-cent-per-gallon annual credit.
