Crash causes vehicle fire in Hartford

HARTFORD — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Hartford last week.

The crash took place on I-89 north on September 30.

The interstate was shut down for a short period due to one of the vehicles catching fire.

According to the report, Annette Ruotolo, 37, was operating a 2017 Subaru WRX and struck the rear of William Greenwood, 76, of Georgia.

Police say the Subaru began to catch fire but was put out by members of the Hartford Fire Department.

Police are still investigating the crash.
