Given the magnitude of the milestone, you kind of figured most if not all of the other pro sports teams in New York would weigh in on social media to congratulate Aaron Judge on hitting his record 62nd home run of the season.

Indeed, the Giants, Knicks, and Rangers each posted congratulatory Tweets, while the Nets did the same by resurfacing a video of Kyrie Irving talking about Judge – and you can forgive the Islanders, who were in the midst of a preseason game, and the Mets, who were kind of busy in Queens themselves, for not doing so.

And then there’s the Jets, who posted a video featuring several players congratulating Judge on the feat about an hour after it happened…which would be understandable had they needed that time to film, but there was one problem: all of the videos were clearly shot in daylight, meaning the video was produced and in the can for at least a few hours, if not longer.

And, as you might expect from New York sports fans, Gang Green’s poor social team got roasted for the rough look:

Sure, the Giants and Rangers likely had their graphic ready for a while – not quite inside baseball in saying that’s pretty standard procedure any time a milestone is approaching – but the Nets were at least creative with the callback...and the Knicks, who were in the middle of a preseason game themselves, probably had something in the bank but instead made an in-the-moment shout out.

So, props to the Jets for the production value, and love to that poor video editor who has been sweating it out since Judge hit No. 61 hoping all their work wasn’t for naught – but next time, maybe do it inside?
