Kate Swenson to visit Nobles County Library on Thursday

The Nobles County Library will host an appearance by Kate Swenson from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the library, located at 407 12th St. in Worthington.

Swenson is a Minnesota author, mother and wife. Her son, Cooper, was diagnosed with autism when he was 3 years old. Swenson’s popular blog, “Finding Cooper’s Voice,” shares her story and helps inspires hundreds of thousands of parents who may share a similar journey.

Swenson is author of “Forever Boy: A Mother’s Memoir of Autism and Finding Joy.” In the book, she shares about her son being diagnosed with severe, non-verbal autism and the struggles and growth that not only she, but also her family, have gone through.
