Gordonsville senior and Ole Miss commitment Sophie Linder capped off her high school career in dramatic fashion Tuesday at Sevierville Golf Club, beating Summertown's Karlie Campbell in a playoff for her fourth consecutive state championship.

Linder led Campbell by three shots after the first day of the Division I Class A state tournament, but Campbell rallied during the second day of the tournament, outshooting Linder by three shots. Linder birdied the 18th hole to force a playoff and then birdied again on the first playoff hole to win the title.

Linder is the fourth Tennessee high school girls golfer to win four state titles, joining Baylor's Brooke Pancake, Greeneville's Karen Socha and St. Agnes' Rachel Heck.

The win for Linder was just one part in what was a huge day for Middle Tennessee golfers and teams as they took home two of the four team titles and swept all four individual titles.
