HE WAS RUSHED INTO SURGERY. RIGHT NOW WE DO NOT HAVE AN UPDATE ON HIS CONDITION. POLICE SAY THEY WERE CALLED AROUND 2-30 TO WEST NORTHSIDE DRIVE. THEY SAY JONES WAS ON HIS LUNCH BREAK... WHEN HE WAS SHOT IN THE LEG. DETECTIVES HAVE BEEN TALKING TO OTHER RICHARD'S DISPOSAL EMPLOYEES ... TRYING TO DETERMINE HOW JONES WAS SHOT. RIGHT NOW... Man shot in leg

Jackson police are investigating a shooting.The shooting was reported about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3100 block of West Northside Drive.Deputy Chief Deric Hearn said a Richard's Disposal employee was on his lunch break when he was shot in the leg. Hearn said 24-year-old Bobby Jones was taken to a hospital, where he underwent surgery.Officers were interviewing other employees with the garbage collection company and working to determine how Jones was shot.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
