One critically injured after collision with train in Kent

A person was critically injured after a collision with a train on Sunday in Kent.

At around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, medics with the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority responded to a report of a car that was hit by a train.

According to the Seattle Times, there was one person in the car with critical injuries.

Dashcam video provided to KIRO 7 by @dubseatv showed the car westbound on East Smith Street, when they approached the railroad crossing.

There was no information about the age or gender of the person involved.

At the train crossing, the arm was down with lights flashing. According to the dashcam video, the car drove forward, bumping the arm upward.

Before the car could cross the tracks, it was hit on the passenger side by the train.
