Quick Takeaways

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo earned his highest grade of the season, leading all offensive players in the game. His 87.5 overall grade was his highest mark since a 90.2 grade during Week 2 of the 2020 season. Garoppolo finished the game completing 16 of his 27 pass attempts for 239 yards, a touchdown, and a passer rating of 100.7, his highest rating since Week 15 last season (123.7).

Also earning a season-high grade was wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who finished the game with six catches for 115 yards, a touchdown, and zero drops. He added two rushing attempts for two yards. Samuel's trip to the end zone came courtesy of a 57-yard reception and run past Rams defenders.

Colton McKivitz, who played just 32 snaps, exited the game with a knee injury. However, he ended up being the 49ers' highest-graded offensive lineman. McKivitz was playing in the place of injured left tackle Trent Williams. Not far behind McKivitz was right tackle Mike McGlinchey. Neither offensive lineman allowed a pressure in 49 combined pass-blocking snaps.

Fullback Kyle Juszczyk, a mainstay among the lowest-graded 49ers players, earned his highest grade of the season. He even caught a pass for 35 yards. In addition, Juszczyk earned the team's fourth-highest pass-blocking grade.

Jeff Wilson Jr. was the 49ers' highest graded halfback, earning a 67.0 overall grade, his second-highest season mark (72.5 in Week 2). He finished the game with 74 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.

Tackle Jaylon Moore, who filled in for McKivitz after his injury, earned the team's second-highest pass-blocking grade (79.5) in his seven pass-blocking snaps. McKivitz earned the highest (87.2). Moore did not surrender a pressure.

Defensive end Nick Bosa was the game's highest-graded player. He finished the game with three tackles, two sacks, and five quarterback hits. Pro Football Focus credited the pass rusher with 14 total pressures and nine quarterback hurries. The 14 pressures are a career-high. Bosa now has a league-leading six sacks and a league-leading 30 pressures this season.

The pass rusher opposite Bosa, Samson Ebukam, earned the second-highest grade among the game's defensive players. He, too, finished the game with two sacks, adding four pressures and two quarterback hurries.

The 49ers' big offseason addition, cornerback Charvarius Ward, was the game's highest-graded defensive back. He surrendered just one reception for eight yards on his way to his second-highest grade of the season (81.7 in Week 3).

The next-highest graded defensive back was safety Talanoa Hufanga. He surrendered just two receptions for 19 yards, adding a 52-yard pick-six off Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.
