The Redding Police Department revealed its pink vehicles Tuesday morning through a partnership with the Think Pink Campaign as a way to spread awareness about breast cancer.
It's not just pink cars being shown off: there are also pink patches for various Shasta County agencies, known as the Pink Patch Project.
The signs and wraps company, Signarama Redding, purchased and donated the pink wraps and patches.
Seven agencies are participating in the Pink Patch Project: Redding Police, Anderson Police, the District Attorney's Office, Redding Fire Department, the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, Marshal Superior Court, and Shasta County Probation. All patches available to buy.
Starting Oct.1st the patches went on sale for $10 each, or $50 for the set of seven. They can be purchased at any of the agency locations, with the exception of the Redding Fire Department.
