On Tuesday, Sept 27, The Breckenridge Woman’s Forum President Kim Walker “kicked off” the first meeting of the 2022-23 year by introducing a program from the Breckenridge Buckaroo football team, band and cheerleaders.

The Woman’s Forum members were treated to a private pep rally by the band and cheerleaders. Buckshot was also a crowd pleaser, according to those in attendance. Coach Casey Pearce introduced the Breckenridge High School football team; cheer coach Kaitlin Prewitt introduced the cheerleaders; and, band director James Wilhite introduced the drum line and band members in attendance. All seniors were recognized.

High school principal Paul Armstrong shared with enthusiasm the positivity the students have on campus and the school spirit that is shared community wide. With such an amazing staff and gifted students, Woman’s Forum members look forward to the future at BHS and all Buckaroo teams, they said. The program ended with everyone joining in singing the school song.

Hostesses for the month were Cassie Griffith, Paula Anderson, Pam Griffith and Julie Herring. The door prize was provided by Trissie Dempsey. The community service project was donations to the Breckenridge Library’s children’s programs. The forum was decorated in green and white and Buckaroo memorabilia, and members were encouraged to dress in green to show support for the Bucks. The meal was provided by Canyon Road Barn & Grill.

The Woman’s Forum will host a Murder Mystery Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 13. The interactive event, titled “Lights, Camera, Murder: Murder Mystery Dinner,” will be presented by Albany Mainstreet Playhouse.

Tickets to the Murder Mystery Dinner will cost $60 and include a dinner of pork tenderloin, potato casserole, green beans, bread, salad, dessert, tea and two drink tickets for beer and wine. Only a limited number of tickets are available.
