A suspect has been taken into custody following a shooting Monday evening on Sam Jones Road in the Patrick area of Chesterfield County, according to Cpt. Wayne Jordan with the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office.

Jordan said the victim was shot in the leg and was airlifted to a hospital in Charlotte.
