Woman taken to the hospital after single vehicle crash in Hermon

HERMON, Maine (WABI) - A woman was taken to the hospital after a crash in Hermon.

It happened on the Coldbrook Road around 11 Tuesday morning.

Police say the woman was driving in the direction of Dysart’s when she went off the road and rolled her car about five times.

The woman’s mother tells us her daughter is fine and most likely fell asleep at the wheel.

An officer we spoke with is urging everyone to please use caution when driving.

”We’re having a lot of crashes the past few days and speed and driver inattention is certainly a factor at all those crashes so we’re asking everyone please slow down. Please pay attention to your task at hand which is driving shouldn’t be focusing on anything other than driving,” said Cpl. Ryan Fitch.

Corporal Fitch tells us several people stopped to help the woman after the crash.
