One person killed, three injured in crash in Newberry Township, York County
One person was killed and three others were taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in York County, police say.
The crash occurred shortly after 9 a.m. in the 700 block of Old Trail Road in Newberry Township.
Police said a Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it entered the northbound lane and was hit by a Jeep Wrangler.
A 39-year-old Harrisburg woman died, according to police. Her name hasn't been released.
The conditions of the three people who were injured are unknown.
A neighbor said the stretch of road has a history of crashes.
"There's been multiple accidents here. A friend of mine lost his son a couple years ago on looks like the exact same spot where this accident's at. There have been accidents before. There will be many more because there's improvements that need to be made," Michael Mika said.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call police at 717-938-2608.
