Following the show’s release, Netflix and CD Projekt RED shared an official music video for I Really Want to Stay at Your House, a song that was heavily featured in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

The music video was shared on YouTube and on Twitter, and it features various scenes from the anime involving the main characters, David Martinez and Lucy.

Given the popularity of both the song and the show, it’s no surprise to see Netflix and CD Projekt RED share an official music video.

This was also done as a tribute to the artists who worked on the show along with animators from Trigger.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Edgerunners is an anime series by Trigger and CD Projekt RED that’s based on the Cyberpunk 2077 video game which came out in December 2020.

The game itself is based on Mike Pondsmith’s Cyberpunk tabletop role-playing game which became popular in the late 80s to 90s.

The show is directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, and he is joined by character designer and animation director Yoh Yoshinari.

The show’s Japanese voice cast features Yuuki Aoi, KENN, Tomoyo Kurosawa, Hiroki Touchi, and more.

The series follows David, a street kid trying to survive in Night City. In the anime’s events, David becomes an edgerunner – a mercenary outlaw.

He soon meets the netrunner Lucy and joins the crew of Maine, another mercenary.

While the game that it’s based on had a rocky launch, Edgerunners was released to critical acclaim and lots of fan praise. It has even been called by some critics one of the best TV anime of 2022 so far.

Its popularity also helped increase interest in the game, with Cyberpunk 2077 climbing the Steam Most Played chart after the show’s release.

The song I Really Want to Stay at Your House is written, performed, and produced by Rosa Walton of the pop duo Let’s Eat Grandma.

Following the show’s release, the song became a big hit as it reached #1 on Spotify’s Viral Songs chart.

As the song serves as the theme of David and Lucy, it’s no surprise to see the song continue to trend.

However, it might come as a surprise to some that the song is made for Cyberpunk 2077 and not specifically for the anime.

It is used as a song on one of the game’s various radio stations.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is now streaming on Netflix.
