A ribbon cutting ceremony two years in the making celebrates a day care in Orfordville’s new look and owner.
Bright Start Day Care Center Owner and Director Connie Markee says they’ve been in business for 18 years, but she became the sole owner just before the pandemic started and they had to bump back the ceremony.
Markee says the day care followed strict guidelines during the pandemic so they were able to stay open so parents could go to work and her employees kept their jobs.
Markee says an open house will follow the ribbon cutting ceremony and for the first time in two years, people will be able to enter the day care to see the changes they have made and what services they offer.
The ribbon cutting and open house take place Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at their location in Orfordville.
