No injuries reported after train hits vehicle in Douglas Sunday

DOUGLAS, Ga. (WFXL) -- A man is alive after his vehicle was hit by a train Sunday.

Douglas police responded to Madison Avenue for a train versus vehicle crash.
For hours, the train tracks through Douglas were blocked due to the crash.
Police say that the driver of the vehicle was alert, conscious and speaking with officers after jumping out of the vehicle moments before the train hit.
The train did not derail after impact.
Georgia State Patrol, Douglas police and CSX personnel are investigating the accident.
