Teatro Colon Confirms Conductor for ‘Tosca’ Performances Starring Anna Netrebko

The Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires has announced changes to Puccini’s “Tosca.”

As reported previously, the company has added an extra performance on Nov. 24. However, the performance will not be conducted by Keri-Lynn Wilson. Instead, it will star Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov. Fabián Veloz will sing Scarpia.

Additionally, the company confirmed that Michelangelo Mazza will conduct the performances on Nov. 24, 26, and 29, which will star Netrebko and Eyvazov. Netrebko and Eyvazov will also sing a previously announced recital alongside pianist Ángel Rodriguez on Nov. 21.

Tickets for Netrebko and Eyvazov’s performances are special presentations and as a result, will be available for pre-sale on Oct. 3 with general tickets on sale on Oct. 4.

“Tosca” opens on Nov. 22 and runs through Dec. 4. The work will also star María Pía Piscitelli and Virginia Tola in the title role as well as Marcelo Puente, Enrique Folger, Željko Lučić, and Leonardo López Linares.
