Last night’s episode of Dancing with the Stars Season 31 left viewers shaken and stirred. DWTS continued its reign on Disney+ with a night devoted to the 60th anniversary of James Bond, complete with all the theatrics that you’d expect from such a chic and exciting theme. If you thought you’d live your entire life without seeing a Jersey Shore star do the rumba to a Tom Jones song, you were wrong.

As has been clear over the past two weeks, this season’s cast of stars are more than ready to meet any challenge thrown their way. These celebs? Much like James Bond in any situation when he really should be keeping a low profile, they came to razzle and dazzle everyone in the room. So, who was eliminated on Dancing with the Stars last night? And which couples came out on top? SPOILERS ahead.

Who went home on Dancing with the Stars Season 31, Episode 1?

Cheryl Ladd and her pro Louis van Amstel got the chop last night — but not for lack of slaying. During the Bond-themed episode, Cheryl and Derek turned out a number to “Diamonds are Forever” — and earned rave reviews! Derek Hough said this was her best dance yet. Bruno Tonioli said Cheryl got her sparkle back. Carrie Ann called her beautiful and eloquent, and noticed that Cheryl recovered from one misstep. Len Goodman said he was glad that he saved Cheryl last week, and that this week’s routine was clean and clear.

And then the duo got 6s across the board.

You hate to see it! But this competition is tough and it’s only getting tougher. Solid dancers are going home from this point on.

Who got the highest score on Dancing with the Stars Season 31, Episode 1?

There was a three-way tie for first last night between Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy, Wayne Brady and Witney Carson, and Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas. The surprise frontrunner of the season, though, has to be Gabby Windey. Wayne and Charli’s talents were clear from week one, and they earned the scores to prove it. Gabby was tied for third in the first episode — and she’s improved every week. She’s now spent the last two weeks tied for first! This isn’t just the Wayne and Charli show anymore.
