The Walgreens pharmacy on Plainfield Avenue NE near 4 Mile Road NE has been closed since September 20th.

When you visit the store, a sign says that their system is down and they have no clue when it will be up and running again.

Because of this, customers have said that they have spent HOURS on hold simply trying to refill their prescriptions.

You are probably thinking the Plainfield location is the only one closed.

You would be wrong. There was a location on Fuller Avenue and Knapp Avenue that was closed for a few days as well.
Julie Waack helpfully shared a rumor about this Walgreens debacle.

"The Walgreens pharmacy in Holland at James & Butternut has been down nearly 3 weeks (will be 3 weeks on Tuesday.) They say it's an IT issue. I heard a rumor it won't be back up until Oct 20, but no idea if that's accurate."

Other people are like a Facebook user, Rosie Botsford, who does not see this as a big issue.

"Relax folks. I real disaster is having it closed for weeks because of a true disaster like what we just had here in SWFL. We plan for about two weeks extra RX. It maybe a month? We'd plan more if our flipping insurance would let us. Find a different Walgreens and count your blessings."

Even Shelly says that you can simply go to other Walgreens.

Kathy Christopher took to Facebook to share that this is not just happening in West Michigan. It is also "happening here in Maryland too."

People are definitely losing their minds for a good reason.
