Food delivery driver shot by stray bullet in Brooklyn

New York, NY- A New York City food delivery driver was caught in the crossfire of a dispute between two groups of people while making his delivery in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn in September. The New York City Police Department on Monday said the driver sustained a gunshot injury during the shooting.

The incident happened on September 19th in the area of 25 Thornton Street at around 3:20 p.m..

The driver, a 35-year-old man, was shot in his right leg as he passed through the melee. Definition of the crowd dispersed before police arrived. He was taken to New York City Health and Hospitals Woodhull for treatment of injuries and was listed in stable condition.


Today, police are asking for anyone who is involved in the incident or witnesses to please call the New York City Police Department’s Crime Stoppers hotline as the case remains unsolved at this time.
