Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Chapter 277 Recap
Chapter 276 was a flash forward into the future, but Chapter 277 went back to the time right after the student election, with Miko Iino succeeding Miyuki Shirogane as class president.
Iino never had many friends to speak of, and she feels it more acutely than ever now that she needs a student council to support her.
Many of her friends have graduated and her lack of connection with the runners-up and her other classmates means that she runs the student council all by herself.
There's only one person she can think of; Ishigami, the very boy who had once frustrated her to no end.
But now that Shirogane is gone, Ishigami isn't sure if he wants to continue in the student council, much to Iino's frustration.
As much as Iino tries not to seem desperate (or make her request too much like a confession) she is pretty desperate.
When Iino and Ishigami witness a case of bullying, Ishigami advises the new president, going out of his way to help her resolve the issue in a sensitive manner.
To Iino's surprise at his determination, Ishigami replies that it's only through the help of people who have gone out of their way to be kind that he managed to get to where he is now.
Iino decides that Ishigami is the very person the student council desperately needs, and, swallowing her pride, asks him to join her.
The Kaguya-sama: Love Is War manga ending has been announced, so we only have six chapters left to go!

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Chapter 278 Release Date
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Chapter 278 will be released on Friday, October 7, in Japan.
In Europe, Canada, and the US, it will be available from October 6 onwards.

All chapters up to Chapter 251 have also been collected in 25 print volumes. And, as the Kaguya-sama manga is ending soon, we expect some special editions at some point in the future.

As of writing, there are no spoilers or official summaries for Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Chapter 278 yet, as the newest chapter was released very recently.
However, we do know that the next chapter will be a direct continuation of Iino and Ishigami's curtain call, which will decide the future of their relationship as friends, classmates, and, perhaps, something more.
Hayasaka's final chapter showed that Iino and Ishigami are still on good terms in their early twenties, but it didn't specify the nature of their relationship.
It's possible that the two will try dating and find out it doesn't work for them, or else Hayasaka's chapter just left it all intentionally ambiguous so that we stay at the edge of our seats until the next chapter comes out!
