Herschel Walker’s son rages against father after bombshell abortion report

.

Christian Walker put his father, Georgia Senate hopeful Herschel Walker, on blast Monday after a report claimed the GOP candidate paid for a former girlfriend’s abortion years ago.

The younger Walker, an adult who has a large following on social media, said in a Twitter screed that his father’s family asked him not to run for office but that his father decided to “air out all of his dirty laundry in public” while “lying about it.”

“I know my mom and I would really appreciate if my father Herschel Walker stopped lying and making a mockery of us,” Christian Walker added. “You’re not a ‘family man’ when you left us to bang a bunch of women, threatened to kill us, and had us move over 6 times in 6 months running from your violence.”

“I don’t care about someone who has a bad past and takes accountability. But how DARE YOU LIE and act as though you’re some ‘moral, Christian, upright man.’ You’ve lived a life of DESTROYING other peoples lives. How dare you,” he also said.

Herschel Walker, who hopes to unseat Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock, denied the report that he reimbursed a woman for an abortion after they conceived a child while the two were dating in 2009. He also vowed to sue the news outlet that published it, the Daily Beast, saying, “This is another repugnant hatchet job from a Democrat activist disguised as a reporter who has obsessively attacked my family and tried to tear me down since this race started.”

The elder Walker, who is a former NFL player, had Christian with his wife, Cindy Deangelis Grossman. They were married from 1983 to 2002. During the campaign, it was revealed that Herschel Walker had other children he had not previously acknowledged publicly. Christian Walker, who is in his early 20s, has been critical of absentee fathers but had not, until now, directed that ire toward his father.

Christian Walker even posted a video in December of himself bragging about having “the honor” of introducing his father at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort and being able to “hug a future senator.” Herschel Walker has said during his campaign that he supports a ban on abortion with no exceptions.

“On the Walker thing, it may not have been public, but I’m about 100% sure one of his opponents told me it was rumor. I thought it was public, but it might not have been. It was definitely talked about in quiet discussions,” Erick Erickson, a conservative talk radio host based in Georgia, said in a Twitter thread.

Herschel Walker appeared to acknowledge his son’s comments, tweeting late Monday evening, “I LOVE my son no matter what.”

In response, in a quickly deleted tweet, his son said, “You have 4 kids that we know of and you weren’t in the house raising ONE of them, you were out cheating and lying. If you loved your kids you’d be raising them instead of running for a senate race to boost your ego.”
