Nearly $200K in 'dangerous narcotics' discovered during routine traffic stop
Police have seized over a thousand grams of drugs during a traffic stop in Penobscot County over the weekend.Authorities say they were performing a routine traffic stop on a car with a man, woman, and two young children inside.While searching the vehicle, a sheriff's office K-9 alerted her handler, officials said.Deputies say what they found during the search was a "significant amount of dangerous narcotics." In total, over 1,300 grams of presumed fentanyl, meth, cocaine and crack cocaine was discovered, in addition to an undisclosed amount of money. Monica Clark. 37, of Bangor, and Roger Grego, 34, of Etna, were arrested and are facing charges of aggravated trafficking of drugs. The Maine Department of Health and Human Services has been contacted to take care of the two children.Officials say the drugs are worth more than $190,000 in street value.
