The 2022 Fredonia State Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner are slated for Saturday, Oct. 8.

This year, the ceremony will be held in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.

Director of Athletics Jerry Fisk noted, "We were glad to learn of a cancellation that made the Multipurpose Room [Williams Center] available for the induction ceremony. That will be a great space for our celebration."

The evening starts with a reception at 5:30 p.m. inside the Multipurpose Room. The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. and the ceremony will follow dinner. There will be a cash bar. Attire is business formal.

All ticket reservations must be made through the Fredonia Campus Ticket Office, either in-person or via the Internet. The ticket office is located on the first floor of the Williams Center and is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Online ticket orders will be assessed a $6 surcharge -- regardless of the number of tickets in the order. Tickets will not be mailed out. Instead, there will be a check-in table in the Williams Center.

Five individuals and four teams make up the Class of 2022. The individuals are Greg Prechtl ('69) of men's basketball, Jordan Basile ('09) of baseball, Walt Hubbard ('93) of men's basketball, Matt Borchard ('06) from men's soccer, and Sarah Hite-Moore ('05) from women's track and field.

The teams of distinction are the 1981 men's cross country team, the 1985 and 1986 men's soccer teams, and the 1993 men's basketball team. Two of these teams were previously recognized at past Hall of Fame dinners, but all will be officially inducted at this year's event. A tribute to Dr. Pat Damore and Dr. Everett Phillips will take place during the ceremony.

The induction ceremony will conclude a weekend of activities and events celebrating Fredonia State Athletics. Plans currently include a golf outing, the annual Ruterbusch 5K, a men's soccer alumni game, and varsity contests for women's volleyball, men's and women's swimming and diving, and a men's soccer contest.
