PIL announces new inductees into Hall of Fame

Kenneth Acker (2014 AP Photo), a graduate of Grant HIgh School, played in the NFL for three seasons and is among the inductees into the PIL Hall of Fame, the league announced Monday.

The Portland Interscholastic League will induct 58 new members into its Hall of Fame, the league announced Monday.

The members include 56 athletes, one coach and a board member. In addition, long-time sports writer Steve Brandon, who passed away Sept. 9, will receive the Roy Love Distinguished Service Award.

An induction ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel on Sunday, Oct. 16.
