Oakland County detectives believe man found shot in his vehicle early Monday was murdered

PONTIAC (WWJ) -- A homicide investigation is underway in Pontiac, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, after a 26-year-old man was found dead in his car.

Oakland County Sheriff’s detectives responded to the scene, along with the Waterford Regional Fire Department, in the 200 block High Street in Pontiac at around 1:45 a.m. Monday.

The sheriff's office said Guillermo Rosado of Pontiac was slumped over the center console of his vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. Attempts to revive him were not successful.

There is no information about any suspects at this time. Monday afternoon, OCSO detectives and the Sheriff’s Office Forensic Science Laboratory were actively investigating.

Results of an autopsy are pending.
