Belleview man accused of hiding in bathroom, exposing himself to woman

A 30-year-old Belleview man was arrested by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office after he was accused of hiding inside a bathroom and exposing himself to a woman.

On Saturday, October 1, an MCSO deputy responded to a residence located in the 10400 block of SE 148th Place in Summerfield in reference to a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Dylan Kyle Passera.

Passera told the deputy that he was drinking at a friend’s house when he had gotten into a verbal argument with the female victim. He advised that earlier in the evening, law enforcement officers had arrived at the home in reference to another argument, but he stated that he was able to avoid the officers by hiding underneath a truck.

The MCSO report states that Passera had an active warrant. He was detained and his Miranda rights were read prior to any further questioning regarding the incident involving the female victim.

In the MCSO report, the deputy noted that Passera appeared to be “highly intoxicated,” and he kept repeating himself over and over. The deputy also smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Passera’s breath.

While speaking with the deputy, Passera was unable to provide a clear explanation as to why he had gotten into an argument with the female victim, according to the report. Passera told the deputy that the victim was “just trying to get him into trouble.”

Several MCSO deputies went inside the residence and made contact with the female victim. She advised that Passera had been hiding behind the bathroom door when she entered the bathroom. After she walked into the bathroom, she stated that Passera locked the door, exposed his sexual organs, and began “shaking it with his hand.”

According to the victim, Passera refused to let her leave the bathroom for approximately five to ten minutes. She stated that each time she attempted to leave, Passera would move in front of her.

The victim stated that she talked to Passera and attempted to persuade him to let her go. She told the deputy that Passera was rubbing his sexual organs during the incident.

According to the victim, Passera eventually let her leave the bathroom. The victim advised that Passera did not touch her, and she also stated that she did not touch him.

Deputies made contact with Passera to inquire about the incident inside the bathroom. While Passera initially claimed that nothing happened, the MCSO report indicated that Passera’s story proceeded to change, and he claimed that the victim had touched his sexual organs.

Passera advised that no one else had witnessed the incident, and he was alone inside the bathroom until the victim entered. The deputy noted in the report that Passera’s statements were inconsistent, and Passera was unable to provide a clear or accurate account of what had occurred during the incident.

Passera was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail where he is currently being held on $2,500 bond. He is facing a felony charge for false imprisonment of an adult and a misdemeanor charge for indecent exposure of sexual organs.

A court date has been scheduled on Tuesday, November 1 at 9 a.m., according to jail records.
