Alexa Demie is skilled at adding her own twist on a trend, and her nails at Paris Fashion Week were no exception. For her appearance at the Balenciaga spring 2023 show on Oct. 2, the actor and "Euphoria" star opted for a trendy take on the classic french manicure, which allowed her sparkling red gown to shine on its own.

Amid a resurgence in minimalist nails, Demie had her long extensions painted with a neutral base color and leading into ombré milky pink tips, drawing upon the milk-bath nail trend, where the semi-sheer base is sometimes accented with dried flower petals. We've seen stars like Jennifer Lopez, Khloe Kardashian, and Rita Ora wear the trend in their own ways in recent months.

For this specific look at Balenciaga's show, Demie tapped celebrity nail artist Cam Tran, who she previously worked with for her recent Balenciaga winter 2022 campaign. She told POPSUGAR she used gel-x tips from Après Nails, sheer pink gel polish from 14 Day Manicure, and the popular OPI Nail Polish in Funny Bunny ($11).

Tran's prior clients include Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and Rihanna. She also did Charli XCX's nails for the same runway show Demie attended. Despite the simplicity of Demie's latest manicure, Tran's aesthetic is quite futuristic, and she often experiments with different materials, like poly gel and metallic chrome, to create intricate nail sculptures.
