Barnard’s Orchard in Kennett Square boasts more than 30 varieties of flavorful apples. The small family-run orchard also has an onsite store for seasonal treats and décor. 

Meanwhile, Highland Orchards in West Chester offers numerous varieties for your picking pleasure, along with a seven-pound to-go bag if you are strapped for time. If you visit on a weekend, you can enjoy the Fall Harvest event with freshly baked pies, seasonal pastries, and its famous hot apple cider donuts.
